Woo hoo, I have arrived safely in Cape Town! The journey was very long, but could tell people were praying as the whole journey went really smoothly and there wasn't any issues on the flights so felt quite peaceful. Then when I arrived there were quite a few people waiting for me which was really nice!Yesterday was my birthday! Was quite emotional in the morn opening cards and stuff from home, but Marlon and Rene had the whole day planned! Went up Table Mountain in the morning and it was the most beautiful view I have ever seen, feel really blessed to be here! Then we went down to the impact centre where I will be working. Driving down was an eye opening experience, seeing all the townships and the conditions in which people have to live, about 2 million people, just broke my heart. I met a lot of people at the centre, many of which I will be working closely with and many which are currently on the drugs rehabilitation programme. There are different youth camps and other projects they want me to involved with, and there might be an opport
unity for me to develop and run a new project within the community, so praying into that a lot at the mo, but its still early days!! Finished the day by going for dinner and they bought me flowers which was so nice, they are making me feel so welcome!

Had a pretty chilled out day today, just went to the beach. Think this week they are going to take me round the sites while I settle in! Am going to be moving around a lot, think I am going to have about 5 different hosts, but am glad I will get the opportunity to build relationships with so many people.So...that was day one and two!! Not sure how much internet access I will have after this week so making the most of it now! Feeling really excited about what God has planned, but know it will challenge me in so many ways as well...
